Try the BSE demo and see how SharePoint permissions become visible

Test Binera SharePoint Explorer in a preconfigured demo environment. See how BSE presents SharePoint structure, highlights folders and files with unique permissions, and makes access deviations easier to understand inside a selected SharePoint site.

The demo gives you a practical first look at BSE. In a real review, the workflow can continue with recursive scan configuration, after-hours processing and analysis in BSE Analyzer.

What the demo shows

A practical view of BSE in use

The demo is designed to give a quick and concrete impression of how BSE works in practice. You can see how the selected SharePoint structure is presented, how unique permissions are highlighted, and how permission deviations become easier to identify.

It is a safe way to understand the user experience before discussing a real review of your own SharePoint areas.

  • view a selected SharePoint structure in a practical way
  • see folders and files with unique permissions
  • understand where permissions break with the surrounding structure
  • review users, groups and assigned permissions in the selected site
  • see how this can become the basis for access control, cleanup and follow-up

Demo scope

The demo reflects how BSE works site by site

BSE is designed to help you inspect and document permissions within one selected SharePoint site at a time. The demo follows the same principle by showing a selected SharePoint structure, not a combined tenant-wide view of all SharePoint sites.

In a real environment, you can open each SharePoint site separately and configure recursive scans where deeper review is needed.

What this means in practice

The demo helps you understand the BSE user experience: navigation, highlighted unique permissions, users, groups and access deviations. A real customer review can then be scoped to the SharePoint sites or tree nodes that need follow-up.

From demo to real review

How the workflow continues after the first look

The demo shows BSE in a controlled environment. In a real access review, the workflow can continue with recursive scan configuration and BSE Analyzer.

Select area

Select the site and tree node

Open the SharePoint site in BSE and choose the folder, document library or tree node that needs deeper review.

Configure scan

Configure recursive scan

Use Configure Scan of folder tree from this tree node to configure a scan from the selected tree node.

Scheduled scan

Review the scheduled scan

The dialog shows scheduled scans with Site, Folder, Schedule and Last run. Jobs can only run after 17:00.

Analyze

Open Analyzer report

If a completed report exists, use Open BSE Analyzer report to open the report in Analyzer.

Report availability and scheduled scans

The Open BSE Analyzer report menu option is shown only when a completed report exists for the selected tree node.

Use Delete scan for this site when an existing scheduled scan should be removed before configuring a different schedule.

BSE and Analyzer

The demo is the first step in the BSE workflow

Binera SharePoint Explorer gives you the practical view of the SharePoint structure and the permissions that apply to selected items.

When a real review requires deeper analysis, BSE can configure a recursive scan from a selected tree node inside the current SharePoint site. The result can then be opened in BSE Analyzer when a completed report is available.

Analyzer helps prioritize findings across paths, users, groups, object types, external access, sharing links and permission combinations. This gives you a better basis for cleanup, audits and dialogue with the owners of the SharePoint areas.
